Tub exteriors can be supplied in any solid color at NO UP-CHARGE. We match every paint color on the market from any paint supplier and offer sheen finishes in matte, eggshell, satin and high gloss.

The Petit Bateau (little boat) tub is a re-designed version of another, much older tub produced in France at the turn of the 19th century. Instead of maintaining the same traditional broad lines, our design team produced a more modern elegant, wider step rounded base and narrower roll top lip. This presents a very elegant variation and softer form of the original tub.

This is our beautiful 60” Petit Bateau finished in an Eggshell/Satin ‘First Light’ color match from Benjamin Moore.. We use a high-grade automotive spray paint system for the exterior of our painted bathtubs. As a first step, we smooth the exterior cast iron surface of the bathtub. From there, we apply two coats of high grade epoxy primer that is then ready to accept four layers of automobile grade single stage paint. The final two coats are specifically prepared to achieve either a matte, satin or high gloss lacquer finish to match the client’s personal choice. As a final step, we wet sand and polish to produce a flawless exterior. The finish is both beautiful and simple to maintain.

At only 60’ long, this beautiful little tub offers a well proportioned bathing space. It is very elegantly styled and it offers a good depth to the overflow to cover most of the body. While it remains relatively spacious, this 60” Petit Bateau bathtub is only recommended for one medium sized bather.
