The 66” Plinth Bateau is a newly designed tub with the most minimal appearance of all of our tubs. It encompasses a delightful bateau shaped wider roll top lip and a very simple outward facing attached straight plinth base.

This is our 66” Plinth Bateau tub in high gloss Waterlands Aquatint Blue. We use a high-grade automotive spray paint system for the exterior of our painted bathtubs. As a first step, we smooth the exterior cast iron surface of the bathtub. From there, we apply two coats of high grade epoxy primer that is then ready to accept four layers of automobile grade single stage paint. The final two coats are specifically prepared to achieve either a matte, satin or high gloss lacquer finish to match the client’s personal choice. As a final step, we wet sand and polish to produce a flawless exterior. The finish is both beautiful and simple to maintain.
